  2. Artists are calling for a competition investigation into Live Nation in Australia.
  3. Spotify is preparing (a) a new high-res audio version of its service and (b) another price increase to go along with it. Will people pay extra for higher-fidelity music? We’ll see. (I will. The best audio means everything to me But that’s just me.)
  4. Still with Spotify, there’s now a limit for users of the free tier on the number of song lyrics you can see. The company is also planning a very large concert in Brazil. Details on both stories here.
  5. There’s a new American music organization dedicated to getting people to vote. It’s called Music Votes.

  8. Weezer has canceled its SZNZ box set because of low projected sales.

  11. It’s Donald Trump and Hannibal Lector, a fictional serial killer. It’s also Taylor Swift and Lestat de Lioncourt, a fictional vampire.
  12. Fancy yourself to be a radio DJ? Try out Stationhead.com and you can broadcast to the world.
  13. As a radio guy, I love this story: “Brits tuning in as radio listeners hit a 20-year high in the UK.”
  14. Lemmy lives! (Well, as part of this video game, anyway.)
