Comic-Con starts in San Diego today.  And it’s David Hasselhoff’s 62nd birthday. I’m sure there’s no connection.

  1. Paul McCartney has released a bunch iPad of apps for some solo and Wings albums.
  2. Ron Howard has signed on to produce/direct a documentary about the Beatles’ touring years.  Apple Corps did the hiring, so this looks promising.
  3. Would someone please bury Casey Kasem?
  4. David Bowie is hinting at more new music.
  5. Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale become a husband-and-wife team for The Voice. I still won’t watch.
  6. This is bullshit.  The RIAA forced an archive of classic radio airchecks to delete thousands of files.
  7. Lady Gaga’s former assistant is being paid $1 million to write a tell-all book.
  8. Scientists have named a water mite found in Puerto Rico after JLo.  I feel bad for the mite.
