I have an amazing memory for dates–except when it comes to my mom’s birthday.  I think it’s today.  Or it could be tomorrow.  I’m a bad son.

  1. Twitter apparently thought about buying Pandora and/or Spotify. THAT would have been expense.
  2. That’s PROFESSOR Tony Imommi, son.  SAY IT!
  3. The Rolling Stones and Pink Floyd differ over Israel.  A lot.
  4. YouTube’s rate card is not popular with artists.  Billy Bragg has something to say.
  5. Meanwhile, T-Bone Burnett says there’s a war on the arts by the technology community.
  6. Now the Catholic Church hates One Direction–in the Philippines, anyway.
  7. Step-daughter disagrees with stepfather over gospel music, so she attacks him with an ax.
  8. Got too much money?  Here’s a $12,000 mobile phone with bad battery life.
  9. It’s true:  Snow Patrol guitarist to marry Courtney Cox.  He’s 37, she’s 49.  Cougar Town jokes may apply.
  10. There’s a petition to remove Metallica from the Glastonbury lineup because James Hetfield likes to hunt.
  11. What is it about Morrissey and Atlanta? He cancels a show for the fourth time.
  12. Yeah, Prince is still eccentric.  He’s made some demands regarding accommodations for this upcoming London show.
