  • In regard to the monkeys….yes, they can be despicable creatures when they want. Too damned smart for their own good, and filthy! I’ll never forget the first time we visited the Metro Toronto Zoo. It had only opened that year and everyone was eager to check it out. We started walking around the grounds, which are huge and takes an entire day. We get to this one pen, and there is a huge crowd of people just standing there, about 50 or 60 people watching something intensely. I thought, what the heck is going on? I couldn’t see because there were too many people in the way. I made my way up to a place where I could finally see, and I couldn’t believe my eyes. There is a single monkey, sitting on a rock, facing the crowd, and he’s masturbating!! All these people gathered around, just to watch a monkey whack himself off!! I walked back to my family and told them what was happening. None of us could believe it, and we walked away. The others were still standing there in rapt attention!
