Random Music Notes for March 31, 2014

Some quick hits to make sure you’re up-to-date as you end the month and start the week.

  1. What’s the holdup with the U2 album? Bono has writer’s block.  The words just aren’t coming.
  2. Three Days Grace will continue with their new singer.
  3. The How I Met Your Mother season finale is tonight. Here’s a list of the show’s top ten musical moments.
  4. Oasis is the subject of a big museum exhibition.
  5. The Rolling Stones will restart their tour in Norway at the end of May.
  6. Meanwhile, Gwyneth Paltrow says she’ll tour with Coldplay despite her “conscious uncoupling” from Chris Martin. This, no doubt, will dismay the rest of the band who reportedly hate her.
  7. Elton John and David Furnish are getting married.
  8. These ants dance better than I do.  Maybe I need to take a lesson from the boffins at Northumbria University who have deconstructed which dance moves are most appealing to the opposite sex.
  9. Amy Winehouse’s hologram will not be going on tour.  Sorry.
  10. Watch Grandma get down to Vanilla Ice’s “Ice Ice Baby.”
