Rapper poses for album cover during Jan 6 insurrection, gets sent to jail

Bugzie the Don (real name: Antoinne Brodnax from Virginia) thought it would be a good idea to head to the US Capitol on January 6, 2020. While everything was going down, he posed in front of the chaos sitting on an SUV and holding a big blunt. A photo was taken and it became the cover artwork of his 2021 album, The Capital.

A couple of things. First, it should be “The Capitol” ever he wanted to refer to the seat of government. But more importantly, he went inside with the rest of the yahoos. He was later identified, arrested, and charged. Before he was sentenced, it’s also alleged that he deleted evidence from his phone. While already on probation.

After refusing a plea deal on four misdemeanor counts and taking into his history as a felon (drugs, gun charges), he was sentenced to five months in jail.
