Rare Video: The Sweet and “Ballroom Blitz”

A confession: The Sweet’s Desolation Boulevard is one of my favourite albums of all time. From grade nine through to my graduation of university, I listened to both sides of this album at least once for every essay and paper I wrote. Every one.

I have more Sweet records than just about anyone: albums, singles, CDs, reissues, bootlegs. One of the bands I was in carried the name Desolation Alley, inspired by the name of this album. But until today, I didn’t know that this video existed.
