Rating Albums in the Loudness War

The loudness wars–this silly arms race to create the louded CDs possible at the expense of fidelity–means we’re being subjected to audio that’s actually worse than we heard from CDs issues in the 80s and 90s. (For a full explanation, go here.)

Rach sent along a great link to a site that rates the dynamic range of dozens and dozens of albums.  If you want to get mad, just look up Red Hot Chili Peppers and Metallica.  Why do we stand for this shit?
