Recommend Reading Week continues: Joining together with The Who

Whenever anyone asks me what I think is the best rock song of all time, I always say the same thing: “Won’t Get Fooled Again” by The Who. It has everything: big riffs, a rebellious message, fantastic production, amazing basslines, stunning drumming, and some of the best vocals (not to mention The Scream) ever committed to tape.

As a life-long fan of The Who, I was very excited to get Join Together (With the Band), a new hardback coffee table book. It’s not a standard biography. Instead, it’s the story of a superfan who got permission from Pete and Roger to follow the band between 1980 and 2017. The pictures are stunning. And if you saw the band in Hamilton in February 2013, you might be able to pick yourself out of the crowd.

Eddie Vedder–another longtime Who fan–wrote the forward. Half the proceeds from the sales of the book will go to Teen Cancer America.
