A critical look at fifty Beach Boys recordings in attempt to tell the full story of each song.  Good stuff for people who like to do dive deep into their music.

Life:  Dick Clark and the History of Rock’n’Roll by the Editors of Life magazine
I have no idea if this book was already in production at the time of Dick’s death, but it should still be a good read for anyone interested in the conditions that led to the rise of rock in the US in the 1960s.

Talking Heads’ Fear of Music (33 1/3) by Jonathan Lethem
A very detail look at the the Talking Heads’ third album written by the highly-regarded writer of fiction. Reviews have been excellent.

Murder Rap:  The Untold Story of the Biggie Smalls and Tupac Shakur Murder Investigations by Greg Kading
Is Tupac really dead or is he living in New Zealand.  And what do we still not know about Biggie’s murder?
