Reluctantly heading back to the office soon? Then you might need this new “homesick” service.

The Wife has been working at home since March 2021 but is now awaiting an announcement about when everyone will return to the office. This transition back to normal working conditions is going to be difficult. The commute, having to conform to some kind of dress code, leaving the dogs behind, the ability to take the laptop into the backyard, etc. are all going to disappear. She’s going to miss the home office.

If that sounds like you, then you might be interested in Homesick Sounds by an LA company called Score a Score. They’ve created a collection of 50 loopable sound that will be familiar to anyone who has had to work at home during COVID. Like what?

  • Noisy air conditioning units
  • Leaf blowers and lawn mowers
  • Dishwasher and washing machine sounds
  • Pet sounds (actual pets, not the Beach Boys album)
  • Teenager noises
  • A coworking on Zoom yelling “I THINK YOU’RE ON MUTE!”

Everything is collected on a soundboard that makes mixing and matching a snap. You can give it a go here.
