Remember that time The Tragically Hip played CBGB?
While The Tragically Hip band could attract tens of thousands to gigs in Canada by the early 90s, they were still a club act in most of the United States. This gig at CBGB in New York happened as the band was promoting Full Completely stateside. The date was January 14, 1993.
Setlist:
1. Fully Completely
2. Looking For A Place To Happen
3. Courage (For Hugh MacLennan)
4. Fifty-Mission Cap
5. Pigeon Camera
6. We’ll Go Too
7. Lionized
8. At The Hundredth Meridian
9. Locked In The Trunk Of A Car
10. The Wherewithal

I realise they were promoting Fully Completely, but why wouldn’t they sprinkle in some songs that made them popular in Canada? Seems a waste not play some of their Canadian hits while there. Seems self defeating.
