Very nice record (I have a vinyl copy at home). Interesting story that speaks volumes about the naivete and influence of some music journalists. Reminds me of the background around the band Heart, and how they were thought to be a Canadian band (and as a result probably got lots of Cancon airplay). Turns out that was a con too.
From what I can recall from Heart’s earlier albums, they were on a Canadian label, or was it that they recorded a lot in the early days in Vancouver. My memory is hazy, but I remember that much.
