Remembering the time David Bowie appeared on Cher’s TV show. It was…cringe-worthy.
It probably wasn’t a good idea, but these were Bowie’s coke-and-alcohol years. Bowie doing Neil Diamond and Perry Como on TV? It happened in 1975.

Had to be sober enough to remember how many crazy left turns that wacked-out medley would take.
For sure!
This wasn’t cringe-worthy at all. And actually, quite enjoyable. Granted it’s during Bowie’s coke-fuelled days, but he sounded great and seemed to be enjoying and carrying himself quite well. (If you really want to cringe, watch Bowie’s 1974 Dick Cavett Show. The interview portion. His performance portion is quite good as well.) Cheers!
I’m sure the author didn’t watch this enitre amazing performance. Two great legends performing a bad ass medley. Nothing awkward about it at all.
