RIP Bob Welch, Ex of Fleetwood Mac, Dead in Apparent Suicide
Guitarist Bob Welch, a member of the pre-Stevie Nicks/Lindsay Buckingham version of Fleetwood Mac, is dead of an apparent suicide. His wife found him with a gunshot wound to the chest just after noon ET in Antioch, Tennessee.
I remember Bob’s solol hits from 70s AM radio, especially “Sentimental Lady” and “Ebony Eyes.” Later, I was introduced to some of the work he did with Fleetwood Mac, including the AOR staple, “Hypnotized.”
