Robert Fripp and Toyah Willcox’s Sunday Lunch is being made into a movie

Every since the pandemic started, Robert Fripp and Toyah Willcox have been posting odd and quirky performances of cover versions from their kitchen in Pershore, Worcestershire every Sunday at 12 noon British time. The traffic these videos get is insane. Toyah says they get something like 120 million views.

The first spin-off is a Sunday Lunch tour which startes at the end of the month, Next up? A movie. I quote Toyah from an interview with eonmusic:

“We have a documentary crew following us, and we have quite a big production company scripting an idea at the moment. Obviously we won’t be in it. It’s for actors to play, but that’s all in the back kind of pool of what do you call pre-production. All of that’s going on.”

What will a full movie based on a series of two minute clips? I guess we’ll see.
