The Perms are a powerpop band, formed in 1998 and based out of Winnipeg, Manitoba. The Perms consist of vocalist bassist Shane Smith, vocalist guitarist Chad Smith and drummer John Huver. They first gained popularity in Brandon, Manitoba when the band released their first album “Tight Perm” in 1998 after bassist Shane Smith came into some legal money after suing the Brandon School Division. The band are well known for their energetic live shows, catchy songwriting and their interesting sense of humor.
