Royal Canoe Offers This Love Letter to Winnipeg

After spending the last couple of days in Manitoba visiting my parents, I ran across this new music video from Royal Canoe for his song, “Exodus of the Year.”  It’s a bit odd and doesn’t exactly show the city in its best light–but it’s oddly compelling.  I do appreciate the old Kern Hill Furniture Co-op ad.  I used to have to do radio ads with Nick Hill.  He never, ever used a script.

By the way, Winnipeg is undergoing a massive, massive renaissance.  What they’ve done downtown (especially around the junction of the Red and Assiniboine Rivers) is the envy of cities everywhere.
