Rush Receives Another Great Honour. Well, I Think It’s Great…

Remember the great Toronto capybara caper from last year? A couple of these oversized gerbils busted out of the High Park zoo and led people of a wild chase for most of last summer before they were recaptured. Once they were back in captivity, Bonnie and Clyde–seriously, that’s their names–got busy doing other things. The result were three offspring.

These “capybabies” needed names, of course, so a contest was held. After going through 45,000 votes, a full 30,000 demanded that they shall forever be known as Geddy, Alex and Neil after the guys in Rush.  Runner-up names were Snap, Crackle and Pop and Mocha, Chino and Latte.

No word on what Rush thinks, but given their sense of humour, they’re probably tickled at the honour.
