Sales of Prince’s Music Explode on iTunes

Since his death, sales of Prince songs have soared on iTunes. As of midnight Thursday, all Top 10 spots on the aggregate worldwide iTunes chart were Prince songs.

The Top 10 on the American iTunes charts is also all-Prince. The US album chart features eight prince albums in the Top 10, ten in the Top 15 and seventeen in the Top 30.

In Canada, Prince songs occupy six slots on the Top 10 and the Top 3 albums (The Very Best of Prince, Purple Rain and The Hits/B-Sides) along with 1999 at #7 and Sign O’ the Times at #8.
