Saturday Night Live Performances, Then and Now

The 38th season of Saturday Night Live wrapped up last night, so this is the perfect time to review some of the show’s most interesting musical performances.  The full list is at Buzzfeed.

This clip is from Halloween in 1981.  Fear, the super-piece LA punk band, literally ripped up the place, causing $200,000 in damage.  Pay attention to the bass player.  That’s a pre-Chili Peppers Flea.  More on that legendary performance/riot can be found here.
