Scott Weiland Arrested on Meth Possession and Burglary. OR WAS HE?

When word came down that troubled soul Scott Weiland had apparently been arrested on drug and burglary charges yesterday, the news was met with a collective shrug.  Weiland has been running afoul of the law for decades so this was nothing new.  But then it began to get weird.  Very weird.

TMZ reported that Weiland had been in jail for the last four weeks on meth charges and for stealing some razors from a Rite-Aid drug store in Beverly Hills.  Good scoop–except that it wasn’t Weiland.  It was a Scott Weiland impersonator.

Or was it?

Reports confirm that Weiland was arrested and then released after posting $20,000 bail.

Then came a video from Weiland calling the TMZ story ” nice piece of fiction” and that Harvey and Co. will be hearing from his lawyers.

Is he telling the truth?  Looks like it.  Beverly Hills say that the fingerprints of the arrested individual do NOT match that of Scott Weiland.  The accused is apparently Jason Michael Hurley.
