Is this the setlist for the upcoming Smashing Pumpkins tour? (No, but…)

Tickets for this summer’s Smashing Pumpkins (3/4) reunion tour went on sale yesterday. As that was happening, Billy Corgan released a list of songs the band plans to play.

As Billy says, this is a proposed pool of songs from the group’s first five albums: Gish, Siamese Dream, Mellon Collie and the Infinte Sadness, Adore and Machina/Machines of God. Note the selection of cover songs, too.

The other day, I shared a set of ours from 1995. Which surprisingly engendered a lot of interest, and it got me thinking why not share our pool of PROPOSED songs (meaning the list we’ll use to build The Shiny and Oh So Bright set, so these aren’t in any particular order). And since we are a bit aways from going into rehearsals, and I’m sure we’ve missed a favorite or two, tag me @williampcorgan @jamesihaofficial @chamberdrums and @jjjschroeder as well as @smashingpumpkins or #smashingpumpkins and most importantly #SP2018 with a screen cap of what you’d like to hear. But remember, the goal is to build an epic set! So choose wisely

Note, too, the solicitation for requests. Me? I want “Untitled” from the greatest hits album. Billy once told me that there’s a glaring mistake somewhere in this recording but wouldn’t tell me what it is. I’ve never been able to hear it. You?

I find it amusing that not too long ago, Billy was saying he was retiring the old songs and playing only the new and relevant. Now he’s on tour playing nothing newer.

I see my favorites in that list – mostly from the first two albums – but I agree with “Untitled”. It’s very close to the top of my list.
