Is this the setlist for the upcoming Smashing Pumpkins tour? (No, but…)

Tickets for this summer’s Smashing Pumpkins (3/4) reunion tour went on sale yesterday. As that was happening, Billy Corgan released a list of songs the band plans to play.

As Billy says, this is a proposed pool of songs from the group’s first five albums: Gish, Siamese Dream, Mellon Collie and the Infinte Sadness, Adore and Machina/Machines of God. Note the selection of cover songs, too.

Note, too, the solicitation for requests. Me? I want “Untitled” from the greatest hits album.  Billy once told me that there’s a glaring mistake somewhere in this recording but wouldn’t tell me what it is. I’ve never been able to hear it. You?

  • I find it amusing that not too long ago, Billy was saying he was retiring the old songs and playing only the new and relevant. Now he’s on tour playing nothing newer.

  • I see my favorites in that list – mostly from the first two albums – but I agree with “Untitled”. It’s very close to the top of my list.
