Sloan Celebrates 20,000 Twitter Followers with a New Hardcore (?!?) Single

If you follow the band on Twitter and Facebook, you may have heard about the new song called “Jenny,” the A side of their new hardcore 7-inch.

Yes, I said “hardcore.”

Sloan has recorded two new originals plus a dozen hardcore classics featuring bands like Bad Brains and other tracks that were “classics of [their] youth.”  There’s also a nice new package availabl featuring

–the hardcore 7-inch (plus a digital download) featuring two new Sloan originals.  Only 500 hand-numbered copies will be available

-the 12-song hardcore covers album (digital only)

-and a soon-to-be-deleted “Sloan Circa 1985” t-shirt designed by Chris Murphy.
