So What Will They Be Selling on Cassette Store Day?
The first-ever Cassette Store Day will happen September 7. This is silly given that cassettes are a piece of 50 year-old technology that deserves to go the way of the 8-track and 78 RPM shellac record. But as manufactured as this bit of nostalgia seems to be, a lot of people apparently want to buy into it. Fill yer boots, I say–but I won’t be participating.
If you still pine for those wretched, poor-sounding plastic things, here’s what you’ll be able to buy. Further details (if you must) at Spin.

Unlike record store day no big names. Looks like smaller bands trying to do something to get noticed. Not that there's anything wrong with that.
There's a Suicidal Tendencies cassette! I'd go buy that. I doubt any store in Edmonton would participate.
