So Who’s The Keynote At A NZ Pinot Noir Festival?
You know, we’d all love to see a new Tool album in this lifetime! In the meantime, it appears Maynard is busy with his passion for wine! From Stuff in New Zealand.
Alternative rock star and winemaker Maynard James Keenan will be the keynote speaker at a pinot noir festival in Wellington next year.
The lead singer and lyricist for alternative metal and art-rock acts Tool, Puscifer and A Perfect Circle is also a wine connoisseur with his very own vineyard and cellar at his home in Northern Arizona.
The Grammy award-winning vocalist has been invited to New Zealand by Pinot Noir NZ 2017 – an event held every four years on Wellington’s waterfront.
It runs for three days from January 31 and features 117 producers from New Zealand’s pinot noir producing regions showcasing more than 300 wines.
Keenan said his visit to New Zealand, the first in a wine capacity, would be as much about education as sharing his own journey.
So if you are in the Wellington area, details are here.
