Some anti-Christmas songs to counteract the stuff you’re hearing at the mall.

I was out for breakfast at my usual Saturday spot where to my annoyance they were playing one of those all-Christmas radio stations. As the server poured my coffee, she was humming Brenda Lee’s “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree.”

“It’s gotten to you,” I said. ‘You’re singing a Christmas song from 1960.”

“I know!” she said, wide-eyed. “And I HATE that sound. But I’ve heard so much Christmas music over the last month that I’ve totally gone Stockholm syndrome!” She looked at me pleadingly. “The boss won’t let me turn it off. Please make it stop.”

I thought of here when I ran across this list of anti-Christmas songs. No disrespect, but after a while, it’s nice to have an option. And equal and opposite reaction, you know?
