Some tours are struggling. You know what genres aren’t? Hard rock and metal.

There have been stories this summer of tours struggling to fill venues. The reasons are many: Too many shows by too many artists, the unfriendly tourist policies of the current US administration, people cutting back because prices for everything are crazy, etc. You may have your own reasons for not going to as many shows this summer as in the past.

Or maybe not.

If you’re a fan of hard rock and metal, you might have had trouble getting tickets to a particular gig, Live Nation says that sales for hard rock/metal shows are up 15% from this time last year. Another stat: 13% of all concerts in the US this year are for metal acts.

Here’s a list of bands doing well in the summer of 2025:

  • Korn
  • Deftones
  • Ghost
  • Bring Me The Horizon
  • Pierce The Veil
  • Falling in Reverse
  • Sleep Token
  • Evanescence
  • Limp Bizkit,
  • Avenged Sevenfold
  • Linkin Park
  • Iron Maiden
  • System of a Down
  • Metallica

Metal/hard rock festivals like Welcome to Rockville, Aftershok, and Inkcarceration have all seen big crowds.
