Some might find this a big Scrooge-y, but hear me out. A very young mother is forced to give birth in a barn after traveling a great distance only to be turned away from the hotel. She’s tired, hungry, understandably frightened and confused–a virgin birth?–and very, very tired. Then some kid shows up and starts banging on a drum. No thank you, Little Drummer Boy. Yet here we are.
