Someone is attacking concertgoers in France with syringes. Again.

This one will be filed under “What’s Wrong with People?”

French police arrested twelve people after 145 people were pricked with syringes last Saturday (June 21) at Fête de la Musique, a street music festival in Paris, which had drawn record crowds. The attacks were apparently inspired by social media posts that called for attacks on women using syringes to stab them.

No one is sure who made these posts. Police are looking into what these twelve clowns did, what their roles were, and their true motives. We still haven’t heard if the syringes were loaded with anything like GHB, Rohypnol, or any other date rape-type drugs. Or worse. Toxicology tests are being conducted.

There may have been other attacks across France. Some reports say up to 50 people, mostly women, were stabbed somewhere in the country on the weekend.

This is not the first time there have been such attacks in France. You might remember a story in 2022 when it was reported that people–both women and men–were being pricked with syringes at concerts, in bars and clubs, and even theatres. This included that year’s Fête de la Musique. Complaints also came from Nantes, Grenoble, and Toulouse.
