Song-Tracking Software Might Make YouTube Annoying for Users

Audiosocket is a company that tracks the use of licensed material across platforms like YouTube. They’re the ones who patrol the Interwebs on behalf of their clients for unauthorized use of songs.  

When they find someone using a song in a way that they’re not supposed to, they issue a takedown notice.  That’s when surfers looking for that material end up with the a black window featuring this guy.

We might be seeing this guy a lot more thanks to the use of a new Audiosocket program called LicenseID. Read more about it at Business Insider.
