Songs for the 50th Anniversary of MLK’s “I Have a Dream Speech”

It was fifty years ago today that one of the most important speeches of the 20th century was delivered in Washington, DC.

USA Today has put together a list of songs inspired by that speech and Dr. King’s legacy. Naturally, this one made the list.

Alan Cross

He’s also known as a musicologist and documentarian through programs like The Ongoing History of New Music.

    Here’s an amateur song that I made using a portion of MLK’s speech. I posted it on YouTube last month for MLK Day. Hope you don’t mind me sharing. BTW, I like that U2 song. Thanks for the blog.
