Songza Canada Releases a Whack of Music Festival Playlists

Yes, I work for Songza as their Head of Curation in Canada–but look what we get to put together!  Take a look through the following playlists to sample who will be playing where this summer.  (Hey, it’s free to listen.  Why wouldn’t you want to have a look?)

CMW 2014A selection of the dozens and dozens of artists heading to Canadian Music Week in Toronto next week.

Luminato 2014:  This year’s festival begins June 6 in Toronto and features a wonderfully eclectic mix of the new, classic and familiar.  Vampire Weekend?  The Roots?  Yes, please.

Les FrancoFolies de Montreal: Another celebration of culture and the arts.  This year’s event runs from June 12 to 22.

NXNE 2014, 20th Anniversary Edition:  NXNE is in its 20th year. Our playlist is a survey of many of the artists who have appeared at the festival over the last two decades.

WorldPride 2014 Listening Party: A special playlist featuring the artists coming to Toronto for WorldPride 2014, one of the universe’s biggest international LGBTQ events. Grab your glitter and sunscreen and get ready for 10 days of music, art, activism and good times.

Montreal Jazz Festival: A cross-section of artists performing June 26-July 6.

Festival d’été de Québec:  A massive Quebec City festival that this year welcomes everyone from Lady Gaga to Soundgarden to Snoop Dogg to Queens of the Stone Age and dozens and dozens more.  The 11-day festival starts July 3.
