Sony’s New Walkman Costs $3,200 US. (NOT a Typo)

Gizmodo reports on the Sony NW-WM1Z, which is being hyped as a “Premium Walkman with High-Resolution Audio.” For that price, the goddamn thing had better come plated with gold–and it does.

This new portable High-Res Audio player apparently sounds fantastic, although for maximum effect, Sony recommends that you also purchase a pair of MDR-Z1R headphones ($2,999) and the TZ-ZH1ES desktop headphone amplifier ($2,899).
