SoundCloud has been Rescued, But the CEO is Out

SoundCloud lives. A new $170 million round of funding from a boutique merchant bank called The Raine Group and Temasek, a Singapore investment company, will allow the company to continue, although CEO Alex Leung is now SoundCloud’s ex-CEO.

The new man in charge is Kerry Trainor, the former CEO of Vimeo, the online video site.
