South Korean has roving bands of granny rappers

The original Monty Python show had a skit entitled “Hell’s Grannies,” which featured a bunch of violent old ladies who roamed the streets of Bolton.

This isn’t quite the same, but South Korea has some granny rappers from Chilgok county in North Gyeonsang province, who have something to say about their position in an ageing society. Meet Suni and the Seven Princesses.

I quote: “The group’s lyrics reflect their rural experiences, expressing joy in activities like picking chillies and watermelons, bringing a sense of nostalgia to both the performers and their audience.” They’ve performed concerts and on TV.
