Spanish Indie Singer Tries to Make It in North America

Russian Red–real name: Lourdes Hernandez–became something of an indie sensation in Spain back in 2008.  She’s now living in California where she’s ready to release her third album, Agent Cooper (note the Twin Peaks reference).

A lot of effort and money went into this record using the talents of people who have worked with The White Stripes, U2, Morrissey, The Shins, Beck, Bloc Party, Blondie, Bjork, David Bowie and the Killers.

A new competitor for Lana Del Rey?  Thoughts?
