Cool!

Start your weekend with this new song about Moo Deng, the world’s favourite baby hippo

I learned today that “Moo Deng” translates as “bouncy pork” in Thai. Makes sense, given that she does like to bounce (deng เติ้ง) around despite her bulk. She’s become the most darling global meme of the last few months.

There’s now a song about her. It’s called “Moodeng Moodeng,” runs about 50 seconds, is available in four languages, and comes with a video of Moo Deng doing what she does best.

The lyrics include poetry like this:  “Moo Deng Moo Deng, boing boing boing/ Mommy mommy, play with me.”

Look, with the dumpster bonfire train crash happening in America right now, we badly need this distractly.
