Stop It, Tool

As I write this, it has been 7 years, 1 month and 29 days (or, to put it another way, 2,617 days) since Tool released their last album, 10,000 Days.  There’s still no new record in site.  Or is there?

Fans got kind of excited over the weekend when guitarist Adam Jones posted what appeared to be a new riff on Facebook.  Was this a section of a brand new song?

Well, not really.  It was just a snippet of “Hooker with a Penis” done with a new twist.

Then again, maybe this is the roots of a new idea that may turn into an entirely new song.  But probably not.  The wait continues.
