Sunday Service: Our 15 ReverbNation Picks of the Week

It’s the ninth installment of our ReverbNation Sunday Service. Here’s this week’s 15 picks.

1) “Inner View” – Dark From Day One

With a breathtaking and hypnotic sound, Knoxville, Arkansas band Dark From Day One blends together a variety of Rock styles. Their sound is heavy and leans towards Metal.

2) “Wait For Me” – The Complication

Described as a high-energy band that put on a great live show, Milwaukee, Wisconsin’s The Complication boasts an array of very talented and award-winning musicians. Their Hard Rock has an almost 80s vibe to it.

3) “Villain” – Wild Fire

Hailing from Gulfport, Mississippi, Wild Fire wants to bring the allure back to Rock. They have a melodic, driving sound, similar to early Panic! At the Disco, but with a harder edge.

4) “Send My Love” – The Western Sons

This quartet began playing together when they attended the University of South Florida. Their Alternative is fun and upbeat with a Pop twist.

5) “Lift Me Up” – Chaser Eight

New Haven Connecticut’s Chaser Eight released their first studio LP last year. Their music is a melodic Alternative Rock that draws influence from Joan Jett, the Foo Fighters, and Alanis Morissette.

6) “Living On Mars” – Where’s Keith

From Westland, Michigan Where’s Keith give Classic Rock a new edge. Their sound is pure Rock with a Funky twist.

7) “Forsaken” – Pragmatic

Known for their live shows, Indianapolis, Indiana band Pragmatic is made up of past successful regional acts. Their Rock is rhythm-driven and aggressive.

8) “No More Love” – Wasthead

This Italian band from Rome shares a strong passion for the music they make together. Their style is a blend of Alternative Rock and Post-Grunge.

9) “Vignette” – Complicate Simple

Borrowing from a wide variety of influences, this Phoenix, Arizona band can be described as eclectic. They incorporate Rock, Punk, Jazz, and Funk into their sound.

10) “Revolution of Confusion” – Scandic Tribe

While living in the US, Danish-born guitarist Morten G.P was looking for a vocalist and eventually teamed up with Norwegian Thomas Økland. Their Rock style is melodic and Blues-based.

11) “Lovers Leap” – Animato

As a High-energy Indie band from Los Angeles, California, Animato has met a fair amount success. Their music is influenced by 80s Electrofunk, Synthpop, Darkwave, and Britpop.

12) “Apologize” – Scars of Amber

Formed in 2012 and based primarily in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, draws from some big industry names like Evanescence and Black Label Society. Their style of Metal is loud and aggressive.

13) “Fading Out” – ROCKET

From Los Angeles, California, ROCKET has had a good amount of success on the radio. With powerful female lead vocals, their style of Alternative is similar to bands like Paramore and Joan Jett.

14) “Demon’s Kiss” – Second Player Score

Based in Vancouver, Washington, Second Player Score came together through musician-wanted ads and word of mouth and then realized they shared a lot in common. Their Rock sound comes from an influence of bands such as Green Day, Weezer, Hüsker Dü, and Bad Religion.

15) “Rockability” – JAM71

This five-piece Malaysian Rock band from Kuala Lumpur is all about Rock. Their sound is inspired by bands such as Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, and Aerosmith.
