Super crawl Releases 2016 Festival Lineup.

Yesterday, Supercrawl announced their 2016 music lineup. The Hamilton free festival runs from September 9 to 11, but just like last year there will be two ticketed Supercrawl Presents events before the main festival.

The first ticketed event, held on Wednesday July 6 at Mills Hardware features award-nominated indie fuzz-folkers The Rural Alberta Advantage. This event acts as the Supercrawl warm-up. Another performer at Mills will be Robin Hatch from Our Lady Peace. All proceeds from this 19+ event go towards supporting Red Cross relief efforts in Fort McMurray. Tickets are now on sale at Ticketfly in advance for $14.99 plus service charges, or you can pay $20 at the door, but space is very limited.

On Friday August 12 at Collective Arts Brewing, Supercrawl Presents Hollerado. This second ticketed event is all ages and advance tickets can be purchased for $19.99 plus service charges at Ticketfly or $30 at the door.

To start off the Supercrawl 2016 festival week, on Monday September 5 there will be a free concert at Tim Hortons field for WeatherTech Football Day. The expanded Labour Day Classic offers a double-header of the Hamilton Tiger Cats and McMaster Marauders book-ending the day-long celebration by facing their Toronto rivals. Between the two games there will be free admission to a concert in the South Plaza led by Hamilton artists.

Held on James Street North, the official Supercrawl 2016 festival begins Friday September 9. The headliners will be The Strumbellas, Matt Anderson & the Bona Fide, The Trews, F—ed Up, Four Tet, Junior Boys, and Sharon and Bram. Other artists featured include Born Ruffians, The Dirty Nil, Amanda Rheaume, plus many more. Further lineup reveals — such as art, fashion, vendors, and food trucks — as well as schedule information will be made available closer to the festival.

Supercrawl is also collaborating with the venues This Ain’t Hollywood, Baltimore House, and Club Absinthe to schedule more music events in the week leading up to the festival.
