Tea Party (the Band) Reunion Continues

From the press release:

Multi-platinum Canadian rockers THE TEA PARTY have announced dates for a much-anticipated cross-Canada tour this fall. The tour kicks off in Vancouver, BC with two shows at the Commodore Ballroom on November 15 and 16, and will wrap up in Hamilton on December 3 at Hamilton Place.

Recently, THE TEA PARTY made international news after their website TeaParty.com received an increasing number of offers to buy the domain, given the newly associated interpretation of the name in US politics. The band has also received considerable international interest and garnered press coverage from the likes of BusinessWeek, Time and The Guardian on pure speculation that they were thinking of entertaining offers for the domain name.

“We were floored by the worldwide press and interest in our domain name teaparty.com that soon followed the initial story in Bloomberg Businessweek.  After being overwhelmed by the multiple offers that were arriving daily, we thought it was prudent to seek out the best brokerage to help represent the band,” said Stuart Chatwood, bass player of The Tea Party.  While the band decides whether or not to sell, rent, or partner with someone to develop teaparty.com, THE TEA PARTY has aptly titled their Fall tour, “ No Politics…just Rock And Roll.”

With a career spanning over 15 years and 8 major-label releases, THE TEA PARTY composed of Jeff Martin (vocals, guitar), Jeff Burrows (drums) and Stuart Chatwood (bass), have successfully gained the attention of fans on a worldwide level, selling over 1.6 million records worldwide, as well as touring a countless number of times through Canada, the United States, Europe and Australia. Much of the bands success can be attributed to their phenomenal stage presence and impeccable artistry and musicianship with a wide variety of instruments and sound.
Although they have achieved great success on an international level, THE TEA PARTY cannot ignore the cult-like following in their native country. In Canada alone, THE TEA PARTY have secured 4 double-platinum, 1 platinum and 4 gold albums over the span of their career. In addition to this success, THE TEA PARTY have been nominated for numerous JUNO awards and have received 22 MuchMusic Video Award nominations including three People’s Choice Awards for Favourite Music Video.
After taking a 7-year hiatus, THE TEA PARTY reunited this past summer for a string of Canadian dates. The band received such an overwhelming response from fans on the tour that the band decided to add additional dates this fall.
Hamilton’s THE REASON, fresh off their top 3 single “Longest Highway Home” from their latest album Fools, will be joining THE TEA PARTY on their national tour.
