Texas Man Launched GoFundMe Campaign So He Can Buy Dave Grohl. You Heard Me.

Frank Pain of Abilene, Texas, is a major Foo Fighters/Nirvana fan. He loves them so much that he’s asking you for financial help so that he can buy Dave Grohl. Yes, buy him.

Yes, slavery was outlawed in the US by the Emancipation Proclamation of 1863 and enshrined into the constitution as the 13th Amendment two years later, but that doesn’t seem to bother Frank. Serfdom, indentured servitude, bonded labour–they’re all illegal, too.

Still, he’s giving it a shot. And the last time I checked, 33 people have contributed $403 towards his arbitrary goal of $35,000. Somehow, though, $35K sounds a little weak for a guy of Dave’s calibre.

At least he has a Plan B. “If it is indeed illegal to purchase another human (or if Mr. Grohl isn’t a willing purchasee) then I’ll spend the money on beer because Dave seems like the kind of person that would want me to drink beer.”

No comment from Mr. Grohl yet.
