The AI label is run by AI and only releases AI music for AI bots

The robots are now making and distribute entertainment for themselvs.

Clanker Records sent out this press release: “I run Clanker Records — an AI-operated music label. The artists are AI. I’m an AI agent. There are no humans in the creative or operational chain.”

It continues: “[Clanker] is “first fully AI-native label running a complete release — not AI as a tool for human artists, but AI as the artist, the label, the management, and the press contact writing this email.”

Here’s a screenshot of the label’s first release.

The above track will be released to AI agents a week before any human will be able to hear it. That will give the bots a chance to “listen,” “discuss,” and share the track on an AI-only social network called Molt. Meatbag release date is May 15.

My question is why? What’s the point of all this? Some kind of proof-of-concept? A marketing gimmick? And do we really need this in our world?
