is an internationally known broadcaster, interviewer, writer, consultant, blogger and speaker. In his 40+ years in the music business, Alan has interviewed the biggest names in rock, from David Bowie and U2 to Pearl Jam and the Foo Fighters. He’s also known as a musicologist and documentarian through programs like The Ongoing History of New Music.

    I got into these guys because I liked bands like Ned's Atomic Dustbin and PWEI and they were all sort of related to one another. I really liked their sense of fun and occasional angry sarcasm.

    I worked in the basement archives of my dad's office one summer in the late 90s … thought it was a very strange place for someone to have left Wonder Stuff graffiti.
