The Alphabetical Archive for 07 September 2012: Zach de La Rocha

It’s a good thing that Rage Against the Machine got back together because it gives singer Zach de la Rocha something to do.

In the years the band was apart, everyone else in the band moved on.  The other three guys formed Audioslave with Chris Cornell.  When Tom Morello had some spare time, he’d work with other artists (Springsteen, for example) and formed the Nightwatchmen.

Zach?  Not so much.  He did try something with Trent Reznor (who told me “That project will never see the light of day”) and there was the promise of a solo album.  But all we got were a couple of tracks that never amounted to more than post-Rage curiosities.

I do have this, though.  It’s “We Want It All,” a track associated with the Michael Moore movie, Fahrenheit 9/11.

  • Your right, he didn't do much. Have you checked out his One Day as a Lion project? I thought it was pretty solid, to bad they never got passed 1 EP.
