The band is completely batsh*t crazy. But they’re beloved by The Strokes and Gucci. I love ’em!

If you’re familiar with Beyonce, you might remember the world “surfbort” from the song “Drunk in Love,” a term she says refers to having sex in the bathtub. That’s when Brooklynite Dani Miller had an epiphany. “What a great name for a band!”

And so Surfbort the band was born.

Buzz was immediate. Julian Casablancas signed Surfbort to own label, Cult Records. Blondie gave them a hearty endorsement. And earlier this year, they were signed up to appear in a campaign for Gucci, the fashion house.

They now have a record called Friendship Music which takes on all the high anxiety situations of today’s world. Take, for example, this single, which could be the most f*cked-up thing I’ve seen so far this year.

That’s it. I’m hooked. Here’s more.
