The BBC Sound of 2021 longlist revealed
The BBC has a lot of influence over music in her majesty’s kingdom and believes it has a role to play in music discovery. Each December, the Beeb releases a longlist of artists they believe will have a chance of breaking out the following year. Here is the top ten for 2021.

- Berwyn
- Bree Runway
- Dutchavelli
- Girl In Red
- Greentea Peng
- Griff
- Holly Humberstone
- The Lathums
- Pa Salieu
This list will be winnowed down to five in early January, followed by the declaration of a single winner. The Beeb has a pretty good track record of picking great talent. Previous winners have included Adele, Michael Kiwanuka, Haim, and Sam Smith.
