The Beatles In Today’s Liverpool (Sort of)

There’s been a real movement in recent years of bringing together old and new in photography (Like the Dear Photograph project).  Calling Liverpool home and along with his father, Mike Price set out to merge the classic images of The Beatles from Liverpool into modern photographs, producing some intriguing results.

Growing up in 1960s Liverpool and it would have been hard not to get swept up in Beatlemania.

But now a digital image expert has brought the Fab Four up to date by superimposing them into today images of their home town. 

Mike Price merged old photographs of John, Paul, George and Ringo with present day scenes to create these fascinating montages spanning half a century.

His father, also called Mike who remembers Liverpool in the 1960s well, helped his son recreate the images.

Mr Price said: ‘Over the last few months I’ve done a series of ‘then and now’ pictures.

‘My dad is great. He remembers everything in great detail – where everything was and what all the shops were called.

    When I listed my 1st half fav's of 2013: Ringo Starr's In Liverpool (from his 2012 Cd) was at number four!
    100% guaranteed to never be played by any commercial 'popular music' radio station.

    Hi, my name is Pablo Lavín and I am a cellist from the coservatoire of U de Chile.between the years 2012 and 2013 I composed an original work for solo cello dedicated to Paul mcCartney, which i released in the city of Talca the o2 August of this year. for this reason I would like to be able for play my music work in england,
    to defray the costs of air fares and expenses stay in England I will postulate a proyect to council for culture in Chile.

    could you tell me what are the requirements for playing in a place in which I could I play my work?.
