The dead-body-in-a-Telsa problem of this rapper keeps getting weirder

Back on September 8, someone noticed a very bad smell coming from a Tesla Model X that had been sitting in the sun in a Los Angeles impound lot. Police were called, the front boot of vehicle was forced open, and the dismembered body of a 15-year-old runaway named Celeste Rivas Hernandez was found. She’d been missing for for over a year.

A dead body doesn’t just materialize in an impounded vehicle. It was easy to track down the owner, David Anthony Burke, the real name of rapper D4vd. He’d been out of town for about a month on tour. Since then, he’s canceled all his shows and has reportedly been cooperating with police.

But things kept getting weirder. In December 2023, he wrote a song about a girl named–you guessed it–Celeste. Screenshots from Discord seem to indicate that he’d been dating a teen with the name Celeste some time ago. There’s also this picture of D4vd and someone who looks a lot like Celeste Hernandez.

And there’s more.

In February, he posted a track called “Romantic Homicide.” The video shows him covered in blood as he drags a body (it’s his own body in the video) along the ground and stuffs it into the trunk of a car.

There’s been a big spike in views and streams of the song. There’s also this for a track entitled “One More Dance.”

D4vd has not been charged nor has he been called a suspect by the LAPD. They did, however, raid a house in the Hollywood Hills where he’d been living and left with “items of interest.”
